Epiphone Les Paul Standard grey quilt top with fake Gibson headstock conversion and OHSC

This guitar plays and sounds great.  It has had some major modifications.  Someone bought a fake Gibson headstock conversion kit with stickers to make the the face of the headstock look like a Gibson.  That also required cutting down the headstock to the Gibson shape and reversal of the Epiphone tuners to sit in the correct place.  This causes the tuners to work in reverse of a typical 3+3.  This also eliminated the original serial number, as it was on the wood that was removed.  For someone who does quick stage changes and tune-ups, this could be tough to work with.  For someone who plays at home, one can get use to using the tuners in reverse fairly quickly.  It is possible that someone could get a different set of tuners that would actuate correctly and look appropriate.  It looks great, the quilt is pretty nice.  It has some deeper dings on the back, especially a deep pit on the treble side upper bout on the back.  It also has a ding on the edge of the butt.  The chrome pickup covers have some light pitting.  Other than that, it rips, it has nice playability, intonation, sustain and tone.  Includes a deluxe Epiphone Les Paul case that fits well.   It's kind of a mutt, but very lovable one.
